Staying Deliberate in the Distraction

🎤 Behind the Roar | November 8, 2025

For the past couple of months, I’ve been working on a new project — the Holiday Edition of Roar Like a Woman. I’ll admit, I’m a bit behind schedule. My original goal was to launch by the end of October, but life had other plans. Now, my new target date is November 14th.

There is a reason for the delay, however. Let me explain more.

Lately, my mind has felt like it’s been running in two different directions — one part trying to stay focused on the joy of this upcoming Roar Like a Woman: Holiday Edition launch, and the other wrestling with the uncertainty and noise that work changes can bring. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly mental clutter can drain your energy before the day even begins.

In recent weeks, I’ve hinted that changes are coming for me at work. The timing of those changes is right around the corner — I’ll be able to share more soon. That uncertainty brings its own layers of emotion and vulnerability, and honestly, it’s drained my mental energy more than I’d like to admit.

But this is exactly where the word Deliberate comes to life for me. Being deliberate isn’t about control — it’s about consciously choosing where to place your energy, even when life feels scattered or spinning in circles. It’s about pausing long enough to ask: What truly deserves my attention right now?

This week, I’ve been reminding myself that my creative work — my writing, my purpose, this new book — is sacred. It deserves focus, even when other parts of life feel unpredictable. Every time I sit down to edit, design, or plan, I’m choosing to act with intention rather than reaction.

The Holiday Edition has become a reflection of that practice for me. Each story, each reflection, carries the same quiet reminder: you can find peace, presence, and purpose — even in the busiest season. It’s a reminder I’ve had to live firsthand these past few weeks.

So, if your own mind feels scattered lately, know that you’re not alone. Take a breath. Get still. And remember — deliberate doesn’t mean perfect. It simply means intentional.

If this message resonates, I invite you to carry the word Deliberate with you this week — as both a focus and a filter for what truly matters.

— With Gratitude,
Ronda 💛
