Helping women in construction lead with confidence, authority, and purpose.
After more than two decades in STEM industries and years leading complex construction projects, I know what it’s like to walk into a room where you’re the only woman at the table and still be expected to lead.
That experience is exactly why I created the Roar Like a Woman movement: to help women in construction break the concrete ceiling and step fully into the leadership roles they have earned.
My name is Ronda, and I am a mentor, coach, empowerment ambassador, breast cancer survivor, and the founder of the Roar Like a Woman movement.
In 2015, I was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer. That experience changed me in profound ways. After kicking cancer to the curb, I made a decision that everything I do moving forward would be lived #WithPurpose.
That mantra has shaped my life, my career, and even the name of my publishing imprint, Act With Purpose Publishing.
In 2025, I set out to write a book for women focused on empowerment and recognizing our worth. During that writing process, I was reminded of something important: I carry a wealth of lived experience from working in male-dominated industries, and it was time to stop staying quiet about the imbalances that exist.
I have spent more than seven years in the construction industry and over twenty years in STEM environments, often serving as the only female leader on multi-million and billion-dollar projects. In those spaces, I have been asked to get coffee, order lunch, and make copies, moments that made one thing very clear: women remain severely underrepresented in construction leadership.
And I want to change that.
I want to help other women break through the concrete ceiling that holds so many of us back in construction and project leadership roles.
That desire is now shaping the next chapter of my career as I step away from corporate America and into the work of full-time coaching and mentorship. My mission is to help women in construction rise through empowered confidence, bold leadership, and unshakable tenacity.
