There’s a kind of leadership that isn’t loud, flashy, or even visible from the outside.
It’s the leadership that begins long before a meeting, before a project, before the world sees anything.
It begins in intention.
This week, as we close out Leading with Vision, I want to invite you into the heart of Part IV of my book Roar Like A Woman—where leadership becomes personal, purposeful, and deeply rooted in who you are becoming:
This section invites you to reimagine leadership—not as something reserved for the few, but as a daily choice to live #WithPurpose and act with intention. Whether you’re leading a team, a family, a movement, or simply your own life, these words will help you lead from within.
This is your invitation to lead from the inside out—to rediscover who you are when you stop performing and start aligning. As you turn these pages, you’ll be challenged to reflect, to stretch, and to reclaim the parts of yourself that may have been silenced or overlooked.
This is where leadership becomes personal. Where purpose and identity meet. Where your transformation doesn’t just serve others—it brings you home to yourself.
— From Introduction to Part IV: Purpose and Impact, Roar Like A Woman
Purposeful leadership isn’t about titles.
It isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room.
It isn’t even about being “in charge.”
It’s about being in alignment.
It’s about choosing—every day—to lead yourself with clarity, honesty, and intention… so others can see what’s possible for them too.
Because when you lead with purpose, your presence becomes a quiet invitation for others to rise.
Your example becomes a permission slip.
Your intention becomes a spark.
Your Reflection for Today
As we step into this week, think about how you can be more intentional and purposeful in not only your leadership, but in your day-to-day interactions. How would you respond to these questions:
- Where am I leading from intention—and where am I leading from habit?
- How would my leadership shift if I slowed down and aligned my choices with my deeper purpose?
- What energy do I bring into rooms, conversations, and moments—and is it the energy I intend to bring?
And then let’s explore even deeper:
Think of one person in your world—a teammate, child, friend, or partner—who is watching how you lead. What example do you want to set for them this week?

This month, we explored what it truly means to lead with vision—not from authority, but from alignment.
We began with Deliberate, grounding ourselves in intention and conscious choice.
We moved into Compelling, recognizing how confidence and authenticity shape the influence we carry.
Then we stepped into Visionary, learning to see beyond the moment and imagine what could exist with courage and clarity.
And now we arrive at Purposeful, where every action becomes anchored in meaning, direction, and intention.
Together, these words remind us that leadership isn’t a position—it’s a practice. A daily decision to show up with intention, imagination, and integrity.
If you want more ways to deepen your leadership, align your life with purpose, and awaken the vision within you, keep journeying with me inside Roar Like a Woman.
