Job descriptions rarely capture everything you actually do. Responsibilities expand. Problems get solved. Teams rely on you in ways that may never appear in your formal role. And much of the work that keeps projects and organizations moving can become almost invisible — especially when you simply become known as the person who handles it.

Then comes the performance review, promotion discussion, or compensation conversation, and suddenly you're expected to explain your value.

Working hard isn't the same as being able to demonstrate your professional value. 

This course gives you a structured process for looking at the work you actually do, determining which contributions create meaningful business impact, identifying the evidence that supports that impact, and bringing it together into a clear case for advancement.

Because your work shouldn't have to speak for itself.

You should be prepared to speak for it.

This is a live, interactive six-week experience designed to help you apply the work to your own career as you go.

Each week builds on the one before it. You'll begin by looking beyond your formal job description to understand the work you actually do. From there, you'll evaluate your contributions, connect them to business impact and evidence, and bring the strongest pieces together into your own Case for Advancement.

But building the case is only part of the work.

You'll also prepare to communicate that case with your manager or other decision-makers. We'll work on how to prioritize what matters most, develop clear talking points, define what you're asking for, and practice the conversation—including how to respond to questions, pushback, or an answer of “no” or “not yet.”

Throughout the six weeks, you'll have opportunities for discussion, reflection, application, and live practice with the group. You'll also complete independent work between sessions so that you're building your own case using your own experience and evidence.

By the end of the course, you'll leave with more than a list of accomplishments. You'll have a clearer understanding of your professional value, an evidence-based case to support it, and a strategy for advocating for yourself—not just during a performance review, but throughout the year.

Live attendance is encouraged because discussion, application, and practice are important parts of the course experience. If you miss a session, you'll receive a written session summary covering the primary concepts, guidance, and next steps to help you stay on track. Missed sessions are not eligible for partial refunds or credits.

No participant recordings will be provided. Sessions may be temporarily recorded by Roar Like A Woman solely to capture facilitator content and prepare session summaries, but those recordings will not be distributed to participants.

This is a live, interactive course—not a webinar or self-paced program. Participants are expected to join via Zoom with their camera on and be prepared to actively participate in discussion, application, and practice throughout the six weeks.

You'll have access to the shared course Google Drive beginning before the first session and for three months following completion of the course. During that time, you can download materials you want to retain for your continued personal use.

Cancellations received at least seven days before the first scheduled course session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations received within seven days of the first session or after the course begins are non-refundable. Enrollment is non-transferable.
