Behind the Grit: What No One Tells You About Perseverance

🎤 Behind the Roar | October 18, 2025

No one tells you that perseverance doesn’t always feel powerful.

Sometimes it looks like messy emotions, uncertainty, or another cup of coffee just to make it through the day. Sometimes it’s not the roaring kind of strength — it’s the quiet, unseen kind that shows up even when no one’s watching.

This week, as I reflected on grit — passion and perseverance for the long haul — I realized how often we equate progress with momentum. But grit isn’t about constant motion. It’s about commitment — the decision to keep showing up, even when the motivation fades, even when progress feels invisible.

Grit lives in the small moments we don’t post about: the times we sit with disappointment, gather ourselves, and try again. It’s in the pause between what feels lost and what’s still possible.

I’ve learned that perseverance doesn’t always feel like forward motion — sometimes it’s holding steady through a storm, trusting that the effort you’re putting in today will reveal its purpose in time.

If today feels heavy or slow, please remember this:
Showing up still counts.
Every small act of courage is proof that you’re not done yet — you’re just becoming. 💛

— With Gratitude,
Ronda 💛
